We asked children to review Error 404, here's what they said…

Our Associate Artist Daniel Bye recently performed his new family show, Error 404, which delighted our audiences both young and old.

The show is about a young boy who looses his best friend, but gains a new and very similar best friend, who is not all he seems. The show has highly engaging visuals and a gripping story that brings to life some colourful characters. But don’t just take our word for it – we’ve gathered together just a few of the great reviews we’ve had so far:

Error 404 was interesting and well performed. It had some really good and moving storytelling and I found the audience inclusion really effective. I would recommend it for ages 9+ due to certain events that may scare or confuse younger children.

Error 404 was really good because the storyteller was enthusiastic. Also, he asked questions so the audience could join in with the performance. The play made me feel curious because the ending felt like something else could happen next. I would tell everyone of all ages to go and see this play.

The show received excellent press reviews during its autumn tour –  “Fascinating and innovative” – The Guardian, “A pleasingly smart show for ages eight and above” – Time Out, “Let’s hope the future is full of productions like Error 404” – Children’s Theatre Review.

Error 404 will continue to tour around the country in spring 2016; dates will be announced in the New Year. The show is commissioned and originally produced by Polka Theatre, the tour is produced by ARC.
