We’re really excited to be back, we’re looking forward to even more great arts activity in 2021, and we hope you are too. The current COVID-19 restrictions mean we can’t reopen our building as we’d previously planned, so for now we’ll be concentrating on activity you can get involved with wherever you are.

Due to the latest lockdown restrictions we have now revised our plans to reopen our building. We will continue to monitor the situation and will prepare to reopen as soon as restrictions allow. Until then we have some great activity you can enjoy from home lined up already, and will be announcing even more very soon.

The People’s Palace of Possibility is an immersive arts project, and its story is told through the post, and through digital and/or telephone interaction.

Over the course of a month you will receive a series of letters and packages, which will unfurl the mysteries of The People’s Palace of Possibility and invite you to share visions for the future and commit tiny acts of resistance.

Find out more about the project and how to get involved.

Pizza and Pitches

We’ll be announcing dates for our next Pizza and Pitches callout and event very soon. Pizza and Pitches invites anyone with a new creative idea they’d like to make happen in Stockton to submit their idea. There’s the chance to pitch for £1000 and ARC’s support in making the idea happen, with the winning idea chosen by the public.

Keep an eye on our website and social media for more details.

Wild Vision Collective

Wild Vision Collective are a Stockton-based collective of artists formed in the first lockdown by artists Claire Harrison, Mandy Dixon, Beth Johnson, and Nethanja DeLeeuw Kent. Wild Vision Collective successfully won the public vote at our last Pizza and Pitches event held in November. Over the coming weeks they’ll be working to make their winning idea happen. They’ll be presenting an exhibition of work by local artists in Stockton Town Centre and running weekly creative sessions online.

You can keep up with the latest news from Wild Vision Collective on their social media channels:

Cafe Scientifique

Throughout the year Cafe Scientifique brings lectures on a wide variety of subjects to ARC. Due to current restrictions the January instalment will run online.
