Looking for something that helps you switch off, move more and feel better? Tai Chi Beginners is a calm, focused practice that supports both body and mind.

Each session starts with a short meditation, followed by gentle exercises to warm the body and ease you into movement. You’ll then learn simple, flowing sequences, with time to practise and build confidence, before finishing with breathing work so you leave feeling relaxed and reset.

Movements can be adapted throughout, creating a welcoming and supportive space for everyone, including those with mobility impairments.

Tai Chi is a low-impact way to build strength, balance and coordination while staying kind to your joints. It’s a great option if you want to become more active in a way that feels steady, manageable and rewarding.

  • Meet The Facilator

Hi, I’m Tracey, I’m a qualified Tai Chi instructor with 15 years’ experience. I train under Master John Ding and regularly attend training sessions at his London base.

I run classes alongside my sister, Claire, so there are often two instructors present in our classes. We run two classes a beginner and an intermediate class. The beginner class is for everyone who is interested in learning about Tai Chi, we work on the foundation form.

When the student is ready for more, we have an intermediate class where we work on the long form. In both classes we can adapt to suit people who have additional mobility requirements so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of Tai Chi.

  • What To Bring

For Tai Chi, all you really need is yourself and a calm, open mindset.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, along with flat, supportive shoes or soft-soled trainers.

You might also like to bring a water bottle.
