Now something of a magical festive tradition on Teesside, Middlesbrough’s Amelia Coburn (BBC Folk Awards finalist, UKE Magazine Breakthrough Artist winner and English Folk Expo mentee) brings her full band show back to ARC for a wondrous evening of breathtaking songwriting and performance.

Recording her debut studio album in May 2023 with Bill Ryder-Jones (founding member of The Coral) on production duties at his Wirral-based studio this will be an early chance to hear what Amelia and co have been cooking up before its release early next year. From heart-melting gothic folk tales to whimsical jazz manouche inflected moments, Amelia’s sets take unexpected turns throughout, showcasing her versatility, confidence and creativity.

Support on the night comes from singer-songwriter Marina Josephina. Marina’s powerful, impassioned style has drawn comparisons to artists like Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse and Joy Crookes. Having her open the show adds a whole new dimension to this already spectacular evening.
