Pay What You Decide Info

Content Awareness: Focusses on themes of climate change, climate anxiety, feeling powerless, social isolation, disability discrimination but it also deals with the amazing resilience of the people of Stockton, and how there is strength in positive community.

Seating: Reserved

World’s on Fire is an ambitious new production with original music co-created, co-owned and performed by Stockton residents, demonstrating what happens when a town comes together to face global challenges through local strength. Real local stories are woven together by the newly formed Climate Choir, a cast of community performers and some local professional actors to highlight Stockton as a place lit with passion, action and hope.

‘Local people often don’t realise the significance of what they do and the change they can bring about.’

This production is all about community, it’s about keeping your heads up when the world tries to say you’re rubbish, it’s about things people love, it’s about beauty all around us, it’s about remembering to breathe,  it’s about friendship, it’s about our town.

It’s about me and it’s about you.

The production was commissioned by communities in Stockton On Tees and aims to be as accessible as possible so please check out all the access info.

If you’d like to get involved in performing in either the Climate Choir or the Community Cast contact us by emailing [email protected] (deadline 30 Jun 2026).

Funded by Arts Council England.
