Bus Stop Goths is the new show and debut exhibition from ARC Associate Artist Audrey Cook.

It’s fantasy meets punk with a Teesside twist.

With homes feeling uninhabitable, and youth services thinning, Bus Stop Goths is a surreal modern folktale which centres around alt youth and the sacred outdoor spaces in which they reside. It’s a joyfully chaotic celebration of youth expression and identity.

Join celestial beings Viv and Sid as they keep a watchful eye on the streets of Middlesbrough. Their office might be in a dingy basement, but the streets they look in on are far from drab and gloomy.

There are fascinating human beings out there, some are not like the others, they’ve formed their own groups, their own cultures, their own small societies.

What will Viv and Sid discover about these sub-cultures from looking in on them?

And more importantly what will they discover about themselves?
